Sleeping With Alcohol

Most people believe that one or two drinks can help them to sleep better when in fact it will help an individual go to sleep but it does not help to keep them asleep. Much too often those few nightcaps can cause a person to awaken many times during the night and more, lead to becoming sluggish, disorientated, and have a lack of awareness in the morning. Unfortunately, this may lead to a very bad pattern. Contrary to what many might imagine insomnia and alcohol will not mix in any way. Alcohol creates the body to dehydrate which can make insomnia even worse.

Alcohol can be a yielding factor in holding people away from deep sleep cycle which makes them feel even worse in the morning. So this is exactly how alcohol and insomnia work, alcohol helps make the body fall asleep rapidly while at the same time it is dehydrating your body too. Because of this, our bodies will wake up for water due to the dehydration and your body will never get a chance to fall into the REM cycle of sleep, which is the deep crucial sleep that all people need to have. No alcohol is ever going to alleviate someone's sleeplessness but in fact will make it worse. It is certainly no trade off to become an alcoholic wanting to compensate for an insomnia condition.
